Dr. Chikako Harper, ND, LMT
Dr. Harper is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and a licensed Massage Therapist.
She became interested in naturopathic medicine through her own experience recovering from an illness. While she was working as an advertising executive, managing the Tokyo office of a multi-national agency, she was diagnosed with cancer. She also suffered from atopic dermatitis and complications from pharmaceutical drugs. This experience taught her that the body has the natural ability to heal itself, and illness is the body’s way of manifesting the internal imbalance. “There is always a reason behind the illness.”
Thus she focuses on identifying and treating the underlying cause while alleviating the symptoms limiting a patient‘s health. For diagnostic purposes, she uses conventional labs and imaging as well as more progressive science based labs, such as food allergy blood test, hormone saliva test, heavy metal urine toxicity test to name a few.
When it comes to treatment, however, she prefers to use less invasive, natural treatments to promote the body’s innate self-healing ability while minimizing the use of pharmaceutical drugs, which often leave the patient with unwanted side effects. Her individualized treatment plans consist of clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, musculoskeletal manipulation, clinical massage and exercise, IV nutrition therapy, hydrotherapy, and homeopathy.
Dr. Harper treats variety of conditions including hormonal imbalance, cardiovascular conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, digestive disorders, allergies, and weight loss. She also offers general and women’s screening exams.

Sara Wood, ND
Dr. Wood grew up in Colorado and obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Colorado College. An enthusiasm for science but a passion for people led her to medicine, and a desire to treat the cause of disease, not the symptoms led her to naturopathy. After completing her doctorate at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Wood went into private practice in Beaverton, Oregon.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Wood also works to educate physicians around the country on the use of salivary hormone analysis and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Endocrinology has long been an area of specific interest to Dr. Wood. Though a majority of her patients are women, Dr. Wood recognizes that there is a large void of information regarding men's health in general, and especially men's hormones. She joined forces with Dr. Meletis to create an easy to understand guidebook to male menopause in an effort to inspire and encourage men to be proactive about their health.
